What’s under my foot

Happy New Year everyone! There’s not been a lot happening in my sewing room since last week was Christmas, and I’ve also had the flu. Just when I thought it had passed, Tuesday I was struck again. Last weekend I did manage to get my fabric refolded from the move and organized, although it may get moved again to another cabinet. Having so many storage options for a change it’s difficult to decide where everything should be and what pieces of furniture makes the most sense. Previously the frustration was, “how am going to fit everything in this tiny space?”.

It snowed yesterday, big fluffy white blobs that briefly came down heavy.

This is 3 Ikea cubes screwed to a table top that I had. We added casters, a hook on the front and 2 on the side for hanging rulers. There is still a little organizing that needs done, I can sew now. For the top I used a piece of plywood and covered it with cotton batting and fabric.

Work continues in my sewing room. Saturday I started tearing things apart and moving everything around and had a pretty good mess. I was moving my AQ dies to their new home and bent over to pick them up and busted my head open on the corner of an Ikea cube. Sunday and Monday I pretty much did nothing but nurse a head ache. The organization should be completed for next week’s Put your foot down.
