Whats under my foot
Does anyone remember Room 222?
I’m about to cut into a colorful bundle of fabric called Woodstock. The first Island Batik blog hop begins next month and the challenge is a log cabin quilt. Look at those peace signs! To see the entire collection click here.

Sewing loft…
is still under construction. There is still organizing to do, I’m 90% satisfied with the layout, and still lots of cleaning. The ceiling needs replace which will hopefully be done this spring. There is still cleaning to do, I’m trying to come up with the best way to clean the rough cut wood that is the walls. Any suggestions?
My quilt frame has cloth leaders that are attached with duct tape and I’d like to remove them. Does anyone have a tried a true method for removing the sticky from the bars?

You can buy a product called Goo Be Gone. It works to take residue left from sticky tape left on surfaces. For cleaning your rough walls, the easiest thing might be to buy a hand broom just for that purpose and sweep them. That’s not ideal but that’s the only way I can think of. Enjoy making your log cabin quilt. You can some lovely fabrics to use for it. Happy stitching!
Thank you, Goo Be Gone added to my shopping list. I’ve vacuumed with the brush attachment but feel I need to clean more. It is so dusty in here. I am really crushing on the Woodstock collection.
Hi Denise! I hope you are doing well I do remember Room 222. I guess I’m old but I loved Karen Valentine – I think that was the actress or actor who was in that show. Oh boy, cleaning rough-cut wooden walls is tough. A vacuum would get the dust off or maybe a steam cleaner? Good luck with that. Happy Thursday to you! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
Thanks Roseann, I will definitely try the steam cleaner. So far the only I have used is a vaccum with the brush attachment, but I feel like I need to clean better than that. I knew someone would remember, maybe a google search for the actors is due because I cannot remember who stared in it.
Good luck with all the cleaning!
Thanks, it’s a never ending job.
