Put your foot down 238

Put your foot down 238, a weekly linky party every Thursday. Stop by and share your WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects.

Whats under my foot

Welcome to another edition of Put your foot down. The midwest have been getting A LOT of rain since last week and the Mississippi River is rising. What better reason to hibernate in your sewing room to get ahead of projects, or finish one.

Monday I published the final round of the Saint Paddy SAL, there have been a lot of downloads but so far, no one has shared in that linkup. I sure hope there are winners for the giveaways.

Next week is the final week of the Paper Pieced Celebrations Blog Hop hosted by Island Batik. Jump over to their blog for the complete schedule in the hop and enter this weeks giveaway. There will be another giveaway next week that you can enter on the IB blog, or come back on May 22 to see my finish for the hop and enter the giveaway right here on A Quiltery.

Round 4 of the SAL is an unequal checkerboard border for the top and bottom of the quilt. The greens in the Island Batik The Grove Collection are dreamy, I love them.

It’s quilted now and waiting for me to bind it tonight. Hope the weather clears off so I can take a clear picture for next week.

Outside work

A very large bush I’ve been waiting to see bloom, finally has. When we moved in last year it had finished blooming, I knew it was a flowering bush but no idea what it was. My google search revealed it is a Mock Orange and it smells so good.

The bell was left behind from the previous owners, it had seen better days. I was thrilled they left it and smile and think of Miss Emma (the previous owner) every time I walk by. Last fall when we put on the new roof the bell came down and overwintered on the porch. My husband cleaned it up and repainted it, we placed it back on its pole Sunday. For some reason the bell will not hang straight, but it still rings.

That’s it for me today, let’s see what you have been working on.
