Nine Patch heart-it moose be love blog hop
Since the word LOVE is in the hop title and it is February my project had to have hearts. I’ve been saving this Grenadine fabric from Island Batik and paired it with their white solid.

My log cabin quilt is on the quilt frame waiting for me to climb the stairs, which I will do this evening. It’s been a while since I’ve come this close to a deadline, it must be done Feb 22nd.
This week I have been working overtime on my Island Batik log cabin quilt. My day to share is Feb 22nd and I realized I forgot to untick scaling in the printer settings. Some of my blocks are 1/2″ too small, here are just a few blocks I need to remake
My first box arrived a couple of weeks ago and keeping its contents a secret until now was not easy. Finally, all is revealed in the post below and I hope you’ll follow along throughout the year to see how I use them.
Put your foot down 221, a weekly linky party every Thursday for you to share your quilt WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects.
The first Island Batik Challenge of the year will be a Log Cabin quilt and blog hop using one the soon to be released fabric collections. Because I’ve already made 3 of my Log Cabin Tree of Life quilts it’s time to come up with a new design. Sooo, my mind is on overtime trying to outdo the Tree of Life pattern. The first IB box of the year is scheduled to be delivered today, so I’d like to make a design decision before Friday.
Put your foot down 219, a weekly linky party every Thursday for you to share your quilt WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects. Thank you all for linking up each week!
This is my second year participating and again I have chosen our veterans as my charity. My goal is to cover as many Vietnam Vets in my area as possible, before they’re gone. Last year I awarded Dan with a quilt I made from the AccuQuilt tumbler and star applique dies.
organize, organize, organize, I’m getting close to being very happy with my space. There are more lights to hang, getting wires under control, and lots of organizing. With all of the storage space I am totally overwhelmed but thinking ahead. Remember those kitchen cabinets I told you about that were left in the home when we bought it? The over head cabinets are being used for AccuQuilt dies, you can see one in the photo below, the rest are under my quilt frame. Then there are the tall cabinets which is great for bolts of fabric. If I decide to keep them they will eventually be painted white because as you can see, I have enough natural wood around me.
