2024 Island Batik Ambassador box 1
2024 Island Batik ambassador box 1
2024 Island Batik Ambassador box 1 arrived a couple of weeks ago and keeping its contents a secret until now wasn’t easy. Finally, all is revealed in the post below and I hope you’ll follow along throughout the year to see how I use them.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge. As an Island Batik Ambassador I receive two shipments a year filled with beautiful Island Batik fabric. Included in these shipments are products from industry partners Hobbs Batting, Schmetz Needles, Deb Tucker Studio 180 Designs, Aurifil Thread and new this year, Oliso Irons.
Funky Friends Factory is participating this year too. We were able to choose our own pattern and it was emailed to us, I chose Crocodile Steve.

Hobbs Batting
Heirloom® Premium Cotton. Hobbs is my favorite brand of batting, even if I have to purchase it. Additional batting will mailed soon along with Aurifil Thread.
Oliso Irons
Oliso Smart Iron, I am very pleased with the updates Oliso made to the iron. It still has the auto lift and steam features. The plate has changed and Oliso says, “The Diamond Ceramic Flow™ sole plate glides effortlessly over the fabric and provides quick, easy clean-up when using fusible interfacing.”
The most noticeable however is where the cord enters the iron itself, it now swivels. And the biggest plus for me, its yellow!
Studio 180 Designs and Schmetz Needles
Deb Tucker Studio 180 Designs Wing Clipper 1. I’m really looking forward to trying this ruler, it’s no secret that I love flying geese.
Schmetz Needles sent a variety of needles to try, including vinyl, costume and piecing/quilting needles. Yay! We have to have needles and they are great needles!

You got a new iron? Awesome! Looks like a nice assortment of fabrics. I have the Wing Clipper ruler. I like it.
Yes, we were all so thrilled to have received the new Oliso. I’m certain I will have fun with the Wing Clipper, a new to me way of making flying geese.
Hi Denise, you are going to be very busy again this year 🙂 Good luck and thanks for the linking party!
