Put your foot down 293 is a weekly linky party every Thursday. Stop by and share your WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects. Thank you all for returning each week and sharing your projects.
Whats under my foot
Both of my Bloomers quilts have been quilted and bound. For one quilt I used Hobbs Poly-Down and the other Hobbs Cotton, what a difference between the finishes. While both quilted beautifully there was a clear winner after they came out of the dryer, cotton batting.
Note to self-don’t use a batting with even the smallest loft for applique quilts.

Since making these two quilts I have added 2 more flower blocks and a bee. You can totally make this an elegant quilt full of flowers by leaving the birdhouse, butterfly and bee off. The bee and butterfly can be used in a block for the quilt center or placed somewhere on the border or on a hexi for a fun playful finish.
Now I am thinking of fabric for a 3rd quilt.
