Put your foot down 297 is a weekly linky party every Thursday. Stop by and share your WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects. Thank you all for returning each week and sharing your projects.
Whats under my foot
I’ve made some fsl flowers to put on my Oliso bag for the August Island Batik challenge and they’re waiting to be attached. Meanwhile, I have been working on Crazy Quilt blocks for the September challenge. The fabric I will be using is Frosted Foliage by Tiffany Hayes, Needle in a Hayes Stack. The photo below shows the fabric and thread pull, including the 4 mini spools sent to me by Aurifil as part of the Island Batik Ambassador program. I’ve played with square blocks and diamond blocks.

Applique block 2 (see below) for the Bloomers SAL will be released Monday, are you sewing along?

For more inspiration, I invite you to visit last week’s Put your foot down 296 to see what everyone shared. When you participate in the linky party I ask that somewhere in your post you share a link back to this post. Thank you for joining the linky party!
I’m looking forward to your decorated iron case. What are fsl flowers? Just wondering what that stands for. Thanks for hosting the quilt party, Denise!!!
Free standing lace is FSL. I will share a couple photos in tomorrows link up.
Hi Denise, that crazy quilt should be nice in those fabrics! I’ve been following along for the Bloomers SAL but I still don’t know what I want to do. Two weeks between block releases seem like a long time, but I’m still trying to find fabric to go with my favourite scraps. Your appliqués are really lovely. Hope you’re having a good summer 🙂
Thank you Andrée. I wondered about the 2 weeks being too long, but some do not sew as fast as others. And, since there would be a fee for previous blocks when the new was released I wanted to make sure everyone was able to download the blocks for free. I’m so glad you are sewing along, thank you.
I LOVE Frosted Foliage! It’s such an elegant collection! Can’t wait to see your quilt!
It is and it’s making a wonderful crazy quilt.
