Welcome to my stop in the Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt. Thank you Carol for all of the fun creative hops you have hosted throughout the years, I will miss them. Best wishes on your new journey!
Poinsettia
My share is a poinsettia table topper for the desert table. I’ve been wanting to try a quilt as you go project and it had to be small because I didn’t want to give up before it was finished. Turns out it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Each block I quilted on my embroidery machine using a stipple pattern from Kreative Kiwi. I’ve been teaching myself to digitize and while I still have a lot to learn, I think my poinsettia is pretty cute.

I wish I could give you all of the dimensions and step by step instructions on joining the blocks. Since it is still a new to me technique I doubt you would really want to follow my directions on this. Youtube was a huge help.

The poinsettia is a simple block that sits on an 8″ square, you can find it in my Shop. This pattern is for applique, not machine embroidery.

Those are beautiful poinsettias! I can do the appliqué, but digitizing things isn’t anything I’ve ever tried and probably never will. You’re so talented! Thank you for all you’ve done during the blog hops over the years, Denise. You are the best! xo
