Whats under my foot
It’s been a long busy month for me, but I am happy to share that I am caught up and enjoying more relaxed sewing.
- Any day in October-Island Batik project featuring a pattern from ByAnnie. Done!
- Oct 14-Twilight Blog Hop. New collection from Create with Claudia. Done!
- Oct 23-Wicked Blog Hop with Just Let Me Quilt. Working
This past weekend I updated my phone to IOS18, don’t do it unless you backup your photos to the cloud. Every single photo I had on my phone is GONE! Apple is constantly trying to improve their products which is good, however, I don’t think they fully test before the release new firmware. Sometimes their updates create more issues than those they are trying to fix. Never again, my new android phone arrived yesterday.
As soon as I can write a post and take more photos of my ByAnnie finish I will share. Sorry, no teaser photos since I lost them all.
Monday I go in for oral surgery. Since the beginning of the pandemic I have been battling with dentist, insurance and finding an oral surgeon. I’m so thankful it’s coming to an end.
Pumpkin pattern
There is a new pattern in my Payhip Shop, a falltastic 6″ x 6″ applique pumpkin. Grab it while it’s free, print it out and use your preferred applique method to make something fun for the season. What will you make with it?
upcoming projects
The Island Batik Challenge for November is a Dresden quilt and I’m looking forward to starting it. The collection I received to use in this challenge is Misty Mornings by Kate Colleran Designs. Isn’t it pretty?

The fabrics for your Dresden is so pretty! I can’t wait to see what you come up with, happy stitching!
Thanks for the feature….nothing fun to share this week…wish I did.
I love the colors in Misty Mornings, Denise!!!
Technology can be such a pain. I’ve been having issues with my text messaging app, but only with group chats. I just said this morning that it was so much easier when we had a phone on the wall and wrote letters… though not as fast or convenient. Oh well. I wish you luck with your new phone. Blessings! Melva
