twilight Blog Hop

Tis the season for the most spectacular reveal from mother nature since spring, the explosion of fall colors on the limestone bluffs along the Mississippi River. Clear night skies with bright twinkling stars finish off the days. This is what Twilight reminds me of, fall.

First let me apologize for lack of photos, I updated my iphone to ios18 and my entire photo library disappeared.

Twilight is a beautiful 20 sku collection designed by Kathy Engle for Create with Claudia and is shipping to stores now, ask for by name. To help narrow down your search, use the Island Batik Store Locator for a shop near your, or their Fabric Finder to see which shops will carry Twilight.

From the Twilight Collection I chose just 2 fabrics, and a neutral from Island Batik for background and backing fabric. I had so much fun trying to come up with a design using just 3 fabrics.

For my project I chose this woven design which is perfect for the 2 fabrics, and I think I placed all the patches correctly.

For quilting I used Hobbs Cotton Batting and Aurifil thread. I couldn’t decide what to do for quilting so I stitched straight (semi straight) lines to finish it off.

Now I am off to look for a fq bundle of Twilight because I have another design in mind. Be sure to visit the other participants in the hop for more ideas.
