October Island Batik challenge byAnnie
This months Island Batik Challenge was to make the bag pattern of our choosing, generously supplied from ByAnnie. ByAnnie sends the pattern we have chosen along with everything we need to complete this task. For this challenge I selected The Write Stuff, a notebook cover that accepts a spiral bound notebook, or a 3 ring binder. The pattern includes directions for 3 sizes.

What’s better, we were also allowed to choose the fabrics for our selected pattern. This elegant fabric comes from the Summer 2024 Collection called Peach Blossom by Claudia Pfeil. I love the soft colors of peach with splashes of green and yellow.

The directions in all ByAnnie patterns are very thorough and most include an add on video to help you through the more complex directions. The Write Stuff does not include an video and is so easy to follow along.
There is a front zipper pocket…

And an interior pocket. Oops, I sewed the bookmark on the wrong side, and the bottom but that’s okay. I love the fabric I chose for the interior.

The strap includes a very strong hidden magnet. The silvery peach shell is so dreamy, I would love to make a quilt in these colors.

Denise, this is a great planner cover. I love it!! Your choice of fabrics is great too! So pretty!
Thank you Brenda!
I’ve never seen that byAnnie pattern before. Now I want to make one, too! Peach Blossom is so pretty and looks great on your project. Happy sewing.
I love it, and the fabric. Now I need to decide if I will use it as a quilt journal or make pages to store my thumb drives in.
