Whats under my foot

I am still digitizing and stitching crazy quilt blocks, will share soon.

My new Brother embroidery machine has gone to crap. It’s less than a month old and since I updated the firmware Saturday it will not recognize any of the hoops. The online store I purchased it from returned my call (placed Tuesday) yesterday and told me the thing to do is take it to a local service center. Which is also what Brother told me when I called them.

The local dealer, that I did not know existed told me I would have to pay a deposit in case it was user error. When I told him my problem I was then told to ask the dealer I purchase it from to refund or exchange it.

Next, I called the dealer back to inform of what the local shop told me. I was told I needed to speak to a manager and she was not at her desk, but will return my call as soon as she is back. No call, so after almost 3 hours I called them back. The manager was not showing online but they would tell her to call as soon as she is back.

After expressing my frustration, the rep said if the local dealer is a service center they should not have told me what they did and it was only because I did not purchase the machine from them, and he was trying to pass the buck. Well, I said, isn’t that what your service manager did telling to take it to a local dealer?

I really do not want to share names of the shops yet until I give them a little more time to resolve this.
