Put your foot down 327

Put your foot down 327 is a weekly linky party every Thursday. Stop by and share your WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects. Thank you all for returning each week and sharing your projects.

Whats under my foot

This past week have been making boxes and covering them with fabric. Just like quilting, I cut boxes apart and taped/glued them together in the size I needed. These will fit perfectly in my cubes.

A few weeks ago I told you I was trying my hand at milk paint. Here is the board I painted with my first test batch. The board is rough cut and I didn’t worry about cleaning it before painting. I am very happy with the coverage of just one coat, 2 coats will cover the board completely.

Milk paint reminds me of the coverage from lead paint, if you are old enough to remember what that looks like. With today’s paint I would have needed to apply a base coat of some kind to keep the paint from soaking into the raw wood. Before I paint my knee walls I need to work on the shade of green a bit.

The first block in the Stitch & Bloom is ready, I just need to finish the cover and attach it to the file. You should see it before the end of the week.

Progress on the rainbow quilt from A Scrappy Quilter.

It will be in the 90’s today and 40 tomorrow, so I am loving this block from Gretchen’s Little Corner.
