Whats under my foot
Sunday I released a new block in the Stitch & Bloom Series, a Poppy. The block doubled as my free download for the Touch of Gray Block Tour.

The painting in my sewing room is almost complete. The three main walls are painted leaving me with a chopped up wall that consists of a bathroom door, closet door, and entryway. In fact, I think it has more trim work than actual wall. Before I can tackle that wall I first had to clear the huge pile in the center of the room, which I tackled this evening. There is a lot of organizing to do.

So, as you can see I changed my mind of painting the slanted wall green and instead decided to keep it white. I had whitewashed the knee walls and they needed some touching up. Instead of keeping the whitewash with mostly wood texture showing, I colorwashed them with the same green I mixed for the window wall. After one of the slats was painted I followed with a microfiber towel. You can still see the wood texture but colorwashing with the green provided an interesting effect. Next week I will share photos of that effect.

Hi Denise, I’m so glad that you can see the end coming! It’s going to be so lovely 🙂
I hope so and will be so happy. There are so many thoughts running through my mind for room ideas and quilt ideas that it’s overwhelming.
