Whats under my foot
This week I have been working on my August Island Batik challenge. The challenge is Marvelous Mini, a wall hanging, mug rug, or mini quilt. For this project I had to dig deep and I this time I don’t mean mentally.
The pattern is Nirvana and there is no mention anywhere in the pattern of the designer so I can’t give credit. I purchased the pattern 30 years ago with the intention of making it and like other purchased patterns, it was pushed aside for another day. Believe it or not, I never got this pattern out of my mind and visited it once in a while never moving forward.
I loved the Island Batik Summertime collection MSQ sent me for free as a partner and I had enough left from the T-shirt quilt for this small project. For my background I decided I wanted water and sky, so I broke them up using strips for the water and 1″ squares for the sky. So that is what I am working on.
