Put your foot down 301 is a weekly linky party every Thursday. Stop by and share your WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects. Thank you all for returning each week and sharing your projects.
Whats under my foot
I finally settled on something for my Oliso Iron cover. If you’ve been following me you know I have struggled with this challenge and I really can’t understand why. The iron is a patch I digitized and then glued onto the bag.

The September challenge for Island Batik Ambassadors is a crazy quilt block hop. I finished my crib size quilt over the weekend and have started another one. Here is a sneak peak of the finish…

Another SAL?
The crazy quilt was so much fun to design and stitch out that it made me think it would be another great sew along. Who is up for a crazy quilt sew along?
The blocks can be foundation paper pieced, or stitch and flip in the (embroidery machine) hoop. The advantage to ITH would be the stitching is all done for you, whereas paper pieced-you would need to decide on your own decorative stitches.
So far I have 25 blocks and they’re still coming, let me know what you think in the comments.

For more inspiration, I invite you to visit last week’s Put your foot down 300 to see what everyone shared. When you participate in the linky party I ask that somewhere in your post you share a link back to this post. Thank you for joining the linky party!

A Crazy Quilt sew along sounds great. I have never done one, I do not have an embroidery machine but would easily have the Bernina 750 with lots of deco stitches.
You have the perfect setup then. And I have plenty of time to complete the blocks and patterns before the end of the current SAL.
Hi Denise, a crazy quilt a long would be fun, and relatively simple. I’m grabbing my batik stash for my next appliqué block! Thanks for the party and the SAL! Have a great weekend.
Thank you for sewing along, I am enjoying seeing the blocks. Wish everyone shared their finished blocks tho.
