Whats under my foot

Work continues in my sewing space, mostly moving furniture around and trying to decide on a layout. The main holdup for finishing is deciding how I will store my fabric. Totes are nice and I have several sizes but there is too much wasted space in them. Fabric zippered bags are nice, but I think I am leaning towards fabric covered boxes-I just need to find the perfect dimensions.

    This is 3 Ikea cubes screwed to a table top that I had. We added casters, a hook on the front and 2 on the side for hanging rulers. There is still a little organizing that needs done, I can sew now. For the top I used a piece of plywood and covered it with cotton batting and fabric.

    organize, organize, organize, I’m getting close to being very happy with my space. There are more lights to hang, getting wires under control, and lots of organizing. With all of the storage space I am totally overwhelmed but thinking ahead. Remember those kitchen cabinets I told you about that were left in the home when we bought it? The over head cabinets are being used for AccuQuilt dies, you can see one in the photo below, the rest are under my quilt frame. Then there are the tall cabinets which is great for bolts of fabric. If I decide to keep them they will eventually be painted white because as you can see, I have enough natural wood around me.
