It’s a Jungle blog hop
It’s a jungle in here
Welcome to my stop in the “It’s a Jungle Blog Hop” Challenge. To keep up with Joan, our lovely host for the hop, I had to step up my game on this one. Joan blogs at MooseStash Quilting and hosts several fun hops throughout the year, her day to share was Monday so hop over and see her finish. You can also find the hop schedule there with links to all participants, today’s links below. Thank you Joan for another great challenge, it made me smile making these fun projects.
Thank you Joan for all the fun you create for us and allowing me to participate.
My jungle
For this hop I googled printable jungle coloring pages and found this cute tiger and sloth. It also had a toucan and frog which I left out.
The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge. As an Island Batik Ambassador I receive two shipments a year filled with beautiful Island Batik fabric. Included in these shipments are products from industry partners Hobbs Batting, Schmetz Needles, Deb Tucker Studio 180 Designs, Aurifil Thread and new this year, Oliso Irons. I am a Missouri Star Quilt Co. Partner and earn a small commission if you make a purchase.
Finish 18″ x 24″ (it’s a little wavy in picture)
Various Island Batik scraps
Scrap of Hobbs Batting 100% cotton (my favorite)
Oliso TG1600 Pro and Schmetz Needles.
I also made a second project because the sloth in the first one was too cute. Years ago I purchased some Island Batik Buttercup (no longer available) pre cuts. This should be perfect for a future shower gift. It finishes just over 40″ square.
Sew Along
Monday was the official start of my new Flower Fusion sew along. The first block was released this past Thursday in my weekly Put your foot down linky party. The second block was released on Monday, both blocks will be available until this coming Monday Aug. 26th. When the new block is released the previous block will be available for a fee in Payhip shop.
Floral Fusion is a fusible applique quilt that will finish 40″ x 40″ without a border. I have ideas for a border floating around in my head but have not settled yet. You can find additional information and download link under Sew Along in the top menu or click here. You will find all post and download links on the Sew Along page.

Cute Jungle quilt. And sloth’s are so darn cute too.
They are, lol.
Your projects are really cute and fun. Everyone seems to love sloths–sew cute to have them in two projects! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. I fell in love years ago when a news station shared a highway video. Somehow a sloth made its way to the highway and was found clinging to a guard rail, my heart broke. Can you imagine how scared that baby was?
Sweet projects; love the sloths!
Thank you
You are speaking right to my heart with this sweet little jungle mini. I love coloring pages and clipart for creating projects! And that sloth baby quilt is just the cutest.
Thank you Joan, great hop!
Adorable quilts! Don’t you just love Google coloring pages! I sure do.
Lol, yes!
Your quilt is super cute! Love the bright fabrics.
Thank you Leah
The Island Batiks are perfect for your beautiful jungle quilt. I love both of the sloths!
Thanks Carol, the bright colors were definitely perfect for this.
Love your jungle mini!!! So very cute!
Thank you Gail
Great quilt from a coloring book no less. I should probably give it a try since I quilt much better than I color within the lines. Your Sloth quilt will definetly be loved, it craves to be snuggled.
Just color them with fabric. Thank you for stopping by.
I need to remember to look for coloring pages to make applique! That’s such a great idea. Your quilts are adorable, especially the sloths….there is just something so sweet about them.
Thank you so much
What!!?? two gorgeous quilts to look at?? Two sloths? I made my son a pair of sloth pillowcases several years ago because…well, he’s known in the family as a sloth. You had me smiling double and happy to be checking your site at 11pm, while I should be going to sleep Thanks for the smiles.
