Whats under my foot…

Meet Misty Mornings, a new 2024 Summer Collection from Island Batik, shipping to shops next month. November is a blog hop month for Island Batik where 12 new collections will be revealed. They also have giveaways, visit their blog for the hop schedule and to enter the drawing each week.

The challenge for the hop is a Dresden Plate quilt and I decided to try something a little different. Wonder Under helped stabilize the blades and made placement easier on the background fabric. After fusing to fabric I used a ruler to trim a 1/4″ seam around each blade. Then I lined up my top seams, stitched to form the point and removed the paper backing. The only thing left was to line up the new seam with the center of the blade and fuse the point down.
