Whats under my foot
This last week has been a mix of emotions. A vixen (female fox) had been spending a lot of time around our home for a couple of months. The last time she was seen was 2 weeks ago standing on the ramp to our out building. We now know she had a litter of kits hidden under the building and was using the gap under the ramp as an entrance.
For a week now the kits have been venturing out of the den and I’ve really enjoyed watching them. Sunday I spotted this baby coming out of the trees and watched with curiosity as he marked his territory, see his hind leg hiked?

On Monday we found a female kit deceased (no obvious reason) while apparently exiting the den.
Tuesday we came out of the house and startled one out from under the porch. It has been raining since and I hope we didn’t scare them off with the porch activity.

This fun design shared by A Messy House is a Sign of a Happy Quilter is going to be a stunner.
Deb from A Scrappy Quilter is curious of how you display your pins.

There may be babies!!! Please check for babies!
There are babies, the photo is one of them.
Wow, that’s so cool. Sad about the little female kit though.
Just one more reason for me to love Spring. There’s still no sighting since the porch incident but it’s been raining. I’ve spent too much time looking out the windows for this little rascal.
How sweet! We had some fox in our yard a while back and they would yip and call our dog out to play with them! She did play a little with them, but I was wary so was glad when they moved on!
They don’t really mind Loki or us for the matter, momma was comfortable with us watching her too.
