Final Island Batik project for the year
Thank you Island Batik and the industry partners for another great year of challenges and products. It really has been a challenging year that I’ve enjoyed.

The challenge for December is All Up To You and I made a wall hanging. The design comes from Sweet Pea and is actually a sewing machine cover. It is an in the hoop design, all blocks were stitched in the embroidery hoop and then assembled on my sewing machine.
Products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge. As an Island Batik Ambassador I receive two shipments a year filled with beautiful Island Batik fabric. Included in these shipments are products from industry partners Hobbs Batting, Schmetz Needles, Deb Tucker Studio 180 Designs, Aurifil Thread, Oliso Irons, Funky Friends Factory, ByAnnie, and AccuQuilt.

The walls and ceiling in my sewing room are all wood, in fact all of the walls in my house are wood. My sewing room though is in the attic and has 4′ knee walls and a slanted ceiling. I thought it was time to try to brighten the room a little since I have not decided what to do otherwise.
The fabric I used is Daisy May, my favorite collections from Island Batik. This will hang on the slanted part of my ceiling, after I figure out how to hang it. It is perfect for cheering up any space.
The Sewing Machine Cover was fun and interesting to make. Each block is made ITH including the embellishing and quilting. Once I had the blocks together I used my sewing machine to thread my machine from spool to needle, just a single line stitch in purple thread from Aurifil.
Additional products used
Thermore Batting is a very low loft , light weight batting that worked well for my wall hanging. I’m finding it works well for ITH designs.

The Project Iron from Oliso is the perfect size to use on ITH projects because it is small enough to fit inside a 5×7 hoop.

I use Schmetz Needles in all my machines and l especially love the MicroTex Chrome.

Projects from 2025
Below are all the projects I have made 2025 that use Island Batik fabric. Some I have purchased, some I received as an Island Batik Ambassador.
