Whats under my foot

The second Island Batik blog hop of the year started this week and I am trying to get some finished photos of my quilt. The wind and rain are fighting me all the way but I will prevail.

This is a great year for batiks, the collections beginning to ship to our local quilt stores is gorgeous. There are bright rainbow colors, blues and pinks, and even a novelty Halloween fabric. You can view the hop schedule and get a sneak peak of the fabrics you will be seeing during the hop here.

Island Batik has a giveaway as they always do for hops so be sure to enter while you are checking out the new collections.

Me? Well, I’ve managed to straighten up my sewing room, it needed it since there was remnants of my past 3 finishes lingering. Now I am in deciding mode of what will I make next.

Sew Along?

So…I’ve been thinking about a sew along, now is the perfect time to plan one. Would you rather make a –

paper pieced quilt
patchwork quilt (this would be strip piecing and you will have an amazing quilt)
applique quilt

At this time I don’t have a timeline but I do have projects in mind for all. Leave a comment with your choice.
