Put your foot down 341 is a weekly linky party every Thursday. Stop by and share your WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects. Thank you all for returning each week and sharing your projects.
Whats under my foot
My sewing space is almost done, just adding the final touches. The quilt rack that held my TV is going to be replaced by a shelf that I made. It’s nothing fancy. I scored a couple of kiln dried pallets with really nice hardwood. One of the pallets had oak boards and the other I cannot be sure of other than it’s hard wood, so cheap of me but I love to repurpose. Here are the shelf boards I am uncertain of the species and I am trying my hand at decoupage. The napkins came from the dollar store.

With the oak boards I made 2 tabletops that are now sitting on top of my old treadle bases. These will be 2 of my work tables. Normally I would not paint wood, stained or otherwise.

The nail holes and chalk paint add to the rustic look of the newly painted walls. And, since the room is mostly wood it will be called “My Sewing Shanty”. Shanty is really the only word I remember my mother using. Hopefully with a long weekend coming there will be more photos next week.
Oops, I forgot to take a photo of the Sterilite drawer unit.

OMG, I love that Andrée is combing the hexies with her Bloomers blocks. The pink background she chose is sooo dreamy. You can read more on Quilting & Learning-What a Combo.
Alycia Quilts shared her Many Hearts Many Hands WIP. Orange is my new favorite color for quilts.
