New Year
Island Batik announced the new and returning Ambassadors for the 2025 year. This is my 7th year and as the boxes arrived I wondered where the time has gone, I guess the old saying is true, time flies when you are having fun.
Thanks to the previous years, I have grown as a quilter through the monthly challenges the Ambassadors are presented with. Some of them made me step outside my comfort zone, some brought new skills, while others made me look back on where I began. All while working with beautiful fabric collections and products sent to me from Industry Partners.
Products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge. As an Island Batik Ambassador I receive two shipments a year filled with beautiful Island Batik fabric. Included in these shipments are products from industry partners Hobbs Batting, Schmetz Needles, Deb Tucker Studio 180 Designs, Aurifil Thread, Oliso Irons, Funky Friends Factory, ByAnnie, and AccuQuilt.

Whats in the boxes?
Yes, I said boxes, for a total of 5. Wow! The photos are all willy nilly and in no particular order, enjoy.

There are 3 Stash Builders packs that contain 2.8 yard each of 5″ strips. These are great for applique, die cutters, or when you need just a little piece of fabric. The fabrics are from various collections and Foundations. Speaking of foundations, there are 12 (1/2 y cuts) from the Foundations. Foundations include Basics, Blenders, Solids and Neutrals, they’re available throughout the year.

Gradations are selected from the Foundations Collections, pre-cut for you in 2 1/2″ Strips and 10″ Stacks. I received Glorious Greens and Brilliant Blues. You can purchase yardage of each fabric in these packs.

Oooh, Sunlit Garden by Jerry Khiev for Curlicue Creations, along with 2 yards of light and dark coordinating fabric. It is a beautiful collection, I love the range of greens. You will see more of Sunlit Garden next month in the blog hop.

Oliso M3Pro mini iron is so cute, I’ll give it a spin a little later today. We also received a carry bag which would be wonderful for travel.

Hobbs Batting is my favorite. Above is the Tuscany Collection 100% Wool batting. The wool batting will give you a medium loft that defines quilting beautifully, and even a queen quilt will be light to carry. This year Hobbs also sent the Ambassadors their Simply Stuffing to use in our Funky Friends Factory challenge. I’ve used it before and it is great.

Hobbs also sent 3 more battings from the Heirloom line. Two queen cotton batting, one Natural Cotton and one Premium Cotton. The black batting is 80/20 and perfect when quilting dark fabrics, or light fabrics where you want the quilt top to be a little darker.

Earthy Enchantment Stack with 2 yards each light and dark coordinating fabric. This collection was designed by Tiffany Hayes, Needle in a Hayes Stack.

My February blog hop fabric. The February challenge is to make something using the Deb Tucker Studio 180 tool we received, I got the Four Patch Square Up. I will be using Jubilee (1/2 cut of 20 fabrics) designed by Jerry Khiev. Jubilee is a patriotic collection with stars, fireworks and eagles.

Our hop in May we will be using the Irish Chain die from AccuQuilt to make a quilt. The fabric for this project is a surprise.

4 yards each of Black, White and Gray and 6 y Cream. These are all from the Foundations collection and can be purchased throughout the year.

Aurifil Thread, 3 spools of 50wt. They say it’s a no no, but I not only use this thread to piece and quilt with, I also use it in my embroidery machine.
Schmetz is also and industry partner. There is no challenge for Schmetz needles like there is Aurifil Thread, but if the other Ambassadors are like me they use them for everything. This shipment included Vinyl, Piecing & Quilting, and Universal Needles.
The End! Though it really isn’t the end, it’s the beginning of another fun year filled with gorgeous fabric, great sponsor products, free inspiration, and giveaways.
Thank you Island Batik and all Industry Partners, I am blessed to be included in the 2025 Ambassador Team.

Thank you Brenda. Too many beautiful collections in this box, they’re too pretty to cut.
Beautiful fabrics, Denise! They sure know what we like! Happy sewing. I can’t wait to see what you create this year.
Absolutely. My head is spinning trying to decide on projects for each month.
