Put your foot down 276

Put your foot down 276 is a weekly linky party every Thursday. Stop by and share your WIP’s, UFO’s, finishes, or any fiber arts projects. Thank you all for returning each week and sharing your projects.

Whats under my foot

This week I am working on the March Island Batik challenge. Last week in Put your foot down I shared a couple 9 patch blocks that would become this checkerboard. The checkerboard block is a little off and I’m not sure what I did it’s almost a 1/2 off which means I need to do a little backtracking.

The block on the right is a border block, and the block below will be a cornerstone. Don’t you love how quilt blocks look so distorted in photos? Usually it’s the finished quilt photos distorted from the wind outside.

I love these two projects from Joyful Journey.

Pinker n Punkin shared her Wild Roses. Seeing them reminds me spring is on the way.

For more inspiration, I invite you to visit last week’s Put your foot down 275 to see what everyone shared. When you participate in the linky party I ask that somewhere in your post you share a link back to this post. Thank you for joining the linky party!

This week I have been working on a secret sewing project for Jennifer’s (Inquiriing Quilter) upcoming fabric collection with Island Batik. No sharing yet, but I think sometime at the end of April you may start seeing sneak peeks. It is definitely one collection of fabric that online swatches do no justice.

  1. Oh, so frustrating when the pieces don’t line up like you thought. I had to laugh when you mentioned the blocks looking distorted in photos. That always happens to me.
