    The Economy Block is a traditional patchwork block that makes beautiful scrappy quilts or a single block made large enough for a baby quilt. They’re also great fill blocks or quilt samplers.

    Today is my second appt this week to the dentist, yuck. I have been making progress with projects and finally finished the organization in my sewing room.

    Yesterday I shared my For the Birds/Create for a Cause quilt. With this finish I discovered I really do love improv quilting and learned to accept sometimes the block placements do not always work.

    At the moment I am working on a combo quilt that will serve two purposes, Prisms Blog Hop showcasing Claudia’s new Island Batik fabric collection and my June IBA project.

    I wish I had gorgeous photos and wonderful stories to share of my weekend with family and friends. Truth is, I spent the first 4 days cleaning and reorganizing my sewing room and Monday I decided to sew instead of finishing.

    The challenge for this month was to make a lap size or larger quilt using the surprise collection we received in box 1 back in January.
